How to create High performance Learning environments? In this three videos and descriptions. Here are the good tips to create the High Performance Learning environment for students.


Roller Coaster:

In this video, students are separate into different groups which is named  group sketch. In their groups, they have to communicate for design. In one example of the video, one group change 4 design to a final one design. 

The equipment for create the Roller Coaster is very important. Students could use computer to design their Roller Coaster. The software and website is another convenient resources to achieve the HIGH ENVIRONMENT. Because the student can use the software to analyse the Crash and unsuccessful method  to improve their methods. High stranded of Equipment and Resources are important for create the class environment.

Teacher give a limited budget for students to finished their project. It is connect the business and STEM in their teaching. It is really fix the 5 CS in ACTFL. It is a good connection of different subjects. And also connect the real world to use money for students.

I add some detail analysis for the Roller Coaster. The teacher give the class very clear instruction and manage the class very well. All groups have different difficult need to fix and they all effectively to discuss their projects. And teacher guild them from four different ideals to one ideal. 

As the project goes, Students using the computer to design and notice the high and circles are different with what they design first on the paper. Teachers walked to the students and listening their changes and ask why. It is really a good method to give the students change to correct their own ideals and not just told them the correct answer.

The video are taught in Chinese. I am a Chinese, So I understand them. And because I accept the education in China for 24 years. So I really want to do the reflection on Math learning and teaching in China.

In China, We have lots of  Math courses. Math at least have one and half hour everyday. We did lots of practice books everyday and even the holidays. The Math textbook is not so hard to learn, but the practice books are challenges. 

I think the math standard is high in China. When I moved to USA and did the GRE Math. The Graduate Record Examinations is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for most graduate schools in the United States. But the Junior middle school of China has the same and harder level in Math of GRE.  This is a good example for high standard if teacher give to students, then the students will achieve a high level.

In the video, students try to memorize the multiple forms. It is very basic and easier to improve your math if you really know it. Using Chinese to memorize is very easy because Chinese just have one syllable in every number. In the video, the students are not Chinese, but they use immersion way to learn Chinese and Chinese math, so they achieved a high standard level in Math. It is a good way to learn both Chinese and Chinese math.

Hope this method could also be used in USA. As I know, the British already changed all their  math textbook and practice book into Chinese same math books.

I am proud of Chinese Math.

In this video, the students using their hand posture to learn location to understand.

They have different rules in class.The posture and the rules make function together. The high school students involve in their  class.

The super speed reading activities give a big challenge for students to read fast. And the young students love the challenges in reading.
